Hi, I am Claudi.

I am a 35-year-old German traveler with a passion for adventuring off the beaten track destinations, the local way of traveling and mingling with people from all over the world. In 2015 I quit my job and started my ventures. Ever since I have been in a state of perfect happiness, “on cloud 9” you may say! That´s why my blog is called “On Claudi 9”.

What will you find on my blog?

My blog covers different types of trips: from Solo Female Travel over Travel with Friends to Family Travel. For about 3 years I called South Africa home. I have traveled many countries all over the world but especially Africa stole my heart and changed my life. Why? Well, I met the most amazing people, learned a lot about myself, made friends for life and discovered a completely new way of traveling – the local way of traveling. This is going to reflect in the following topics:

What I can help you with:

I have traveled almost everywhere within South Africa. I have been to most of the countries hotspots but also off the beaten path. As you can see on this blog, I had the chance to explore more African countries like Namibia, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Ghana, Malawi and Botswana.

Planning a trip can be really time-consuming. Sometimes it took me days to find all the information needed for a new adventure and to put together an itinerary. However, my local way of traveling enabled me to gain valuable knowledge on the African continent, the different countries itself, the people, places and everything you need to know before traveling. For a small fee I would like to help you saving time and benefiting from sharing knowledge.

What you need to know as well:

• I started this blog in English as I wanted as many people as possible to have access to my content. Please do keep in mind that English isn´t my mother tongue. There will be a few mistakes here and there but I am steadily improving.

• Since many German´s English isn´t that good, I have now started  translating my content from English into German. Funny right? I assume most Germans would do it the other way around. 🙂 If you find a post that hasn´t been translated yet, please be a bit patient. Slowly but surely all posts are going to be provided in German as well.

• For privacy reasons I will not show my baby in any of my videos or pictures. Thanks for understanding.
